Court Fencing Installation in San Antonio, TX

Black vinyl-coated chain-link for pickleball, basketball, and tennis courts. Built to last Texas weather.

A Finished Court Starts With the Right Fencing

A fence turns a court into a proper playing space. It keeps balls contained, defines the boundary, and gives the whole setup a finished, intentional look.

Whether you’re adding it to a new build or an existing court, installation is straightforward and done by the same crew that builds the courts.

Choose Your Height

Choose the fence height that fits your court, property, and playing needs. We’ll help you find the right balance of containment, visibility, and overall look.

4 Foot Fence
Pickleball Standard
Light boundary for casual backyard courts. Right for the goal end of a basketball court where a stray ball is the only concern, and for the house side of any court where you want to keep the view open. Black vinyl-coated chain link on posts set in sleeves at the slab edge so the concrete is never cut.
6 Foot Fence
MOST COMMON
Pickleball sidelines
Our most common residential height. Stops most drives and lobs on the sidelines of a pickleball or multi-sport court without making the court feel caged. Pair it with 8-foot panels behind the baselines if the yard backs onto a neighbor or a pool.
8 Foot Fence
Basketball Standard
Full containment behind pickleball baselines, around volleyball courts and on any side facing a street, pool or neighbor. Eight feet stops nearly every pickleball and most volleyball spikes. Also the height we recommend when a windscreen is going on, since the screen adds wind load and taller posts are engineered for it.
10 Foot Fence
HOA and Commercial
Ten feet on the baselines and diagonal corners is the tennis standard and stops serves and groundstrokes that sail. Most residential tennis courts run 10 feet on the ends and step down to 4 feet mid-sideline. Heavier gauge posts set deeper. Standard for HOA amenity courts,
Materials and Windscreen
Black vinyl standard
Black vinyl-coated chain link is standard because it disappears visually and the galvanized core does not rust in Gulf Coast humidity. Windscreen adds privacy, cuts the wind that pushes a pickleball, and gives players a solid backdrop for tracking the ball. Take it down before major storms. A well-installed court fence in Texas lasts 20 years.

Common Questions

Do you handle permits and HOA approvals?

Yes. Court fencing is usually 10 feet tall, which is higher than most cities and HOAs allow for a standard yard fence, so a permit or a variance is often required. We confirm what applies to your property in San Antonio, prepare the fence plan showing height, placement, and finish, and submit it with the rest of your court package. HOAs mostly ask about height, color (black vinyl is the most approved), and setback from the property line, and we address all three up front.

San Antonio requires a permit for fences over 6 feet in most residential zones. We handle that filing as part of the court permit.

Fencing is one of the fastest parts of a court project. Posts are set in concrete and need a day or two to cure, then the fabric, top rail, and gates go up. A standard 10-foot fence around a pickleball or basketball court takes 2 to 3 days. A full tennis court enclosure takes about a week. When fencing is part of a new court built in San Antonio, we set posts while the slab cures so the fence is finished by the time the surface goes on.

San Antonio post holes on the north side hit rock often. We bring the right equipment so it does not slow the job.

Very little. Our black vinyl-coated chain link is galvanized underneath and coated on top, so it does not rust and does not need painting. Rinse off dirt and pollen a couple of times a year. Check gates, hinges, and latches once a season and tighten anything loose. If you add windscreens, take them down before major storms so wind load does not stress the posts. A well-installed court fence in San Antonio should last 20 years or more.

San Antonio’s sun is the main wear factor. Vinyl-coated chain link holds its color far better than painted fence in this climate.
